01
Check who the message is for
Email may contain information intended only for the addressed recipient and authorized participants in the correspondence. If it reaches you in error, please tell the sender using a reliable contact channel, then delete the message and its attachments unless the law permits or requires their preservation.
Please do not act on, reproduce, or share an incorrectly delivered message unless authorized or otherwise permitted or required by law.
02
Respect confidentiality without restricting lawful reporting
The nature of the information, any applicable confidentiality agreement, and the law determine how the material should be handled. A confidentiality notice does not prevent a lawful report to authorities, regulatory cooperation, consultation with legal counsel, protected disclosures, or required disclosure or record preservation.
03
Attorney-client and work-product protections
Attorney-client privilege or work-product protection may apply to particular correspondence when the relevant legal requirements are met. Ordinary operational or commercial email is not made privileged merely because it contains this notice.
The notice does not establish an attorney-client relationship, create a legal protection, or guarantee that privilege or work-product protection survives an accidental disclosure. Whether protection applies or has been waived depends on the facts and applicable law.
04
Roles and contractual authority
Prepaid Card X is not a bank or card issuer. Describing a proposed prepaid program in correspondence does not itself confer a role or authority that belongs to another responsible party.
Emails do not by themselves change existing agreements. A proposed commitment or amendment must meet the applicable contractual requirements, the authority of the people involved, and the law. Nothing in this notice prevents an authorized email or electronic signature from having legal effect when those requirements are satisfied.
05
Verify unexpected electronic instructions
Electronic delivery can involve errors, delay, interception, alteration, or harmful content. No assurance is made that every email or attachment is authentic, complete, secure, or free of malicious material. Confirm unexpected requests through a known contact and take appropriate care before opening attachments or following links.
Do not place full card numbers, security codes, account passwords, or authentication credentials in ordinary email. This notice does not disclaim responsibility that the law does not allow us to exclude.
06
Handling business correspondence
Email may be retained or reviewed for lawful business, support, security, recordkeeping, or compliance purposes, subject to applicable law and the relevant privacy information. This is not a statement that all correspondence is monitored. It is not a request for blanket consent to surveillance, unlimited retention, or unrestricted use of personal information.
07
Applicable law and commercial email
The notice is framed primarily for correspondence involving a United States company. Existing governing-law and jurisdiction provisions remain unchanged, and mandatory rights, lawful disclosures, and obligations under applicable law remain effective.
Requirements for commercial messages, including CAN-SPAM where applicable, are not displaced by this page. Required sender information, a valid postal address, unsubscribe facilities, and the handling of opt-out requests must still be provided or performed as required.
08
Contact and privacy information
If a communication appears inconsistent with the company or offer you know, use our published contact route to ask about it. The privacy notice explains the information involved in contacting Prepaid Card X.
