PCXPROGRAM DESIGN / MEASUREMENT

Measure service completion and commercial outcomes separately

A prepaid program can progress operationally without proving that it changed purchasing behavior. Decide which question each measure answers before using it in a report.

01

Define the available measures

Use only information the actual program makes available to the authorized team. These definitions are a planning framework, not a feature claim.

MeasureDefinitionInterpretation boundary
Qualification rateQualifying orders divided by evaluated orders in the same offer periodDescribes the assessed purchases, not campaign causation
Access rateRecipients with recorded access divided by recipients whose benefit was made availableRequires a consistent opportunity to access
Support contact rateRecipients contacting support divided by the relevant recipient populationCount people separately from repeated messages
Cost per qualifying purchaseAttributable program costs divided by qualifying purchasesUse matching cost and purchase periods
Repeat-purchase rateCustomers making the defined later purchase divided by the eligible audienceA store outcome, not the same as card use
02

Use Shopify outcomes with context

For a product promotion, examine relevant purchases and returns, not all store sales indiscriminately. Product availability, advertising, and other offers can affect results. State the comparison and its limitations.

03

Agree the reporting decision

Identify who will use the report and whether it supports continuation, a clearer customer message, or a change to the offer. Missing data should be identified as missing, not converted into a favorable rate.
