PCXPROGRAM DESIGN / RECIPIENT JOURNEY

Let the recipient see the next useful step

A recipient journey explains how someone moves from a Shopify offer to understanding and accessing the benefit. It should remain clear when a customer needs help.

01

Map questions to responsibilities

Use the actual program’s stages. Not every program requires the same claim or access process.

StageQuestionResponsibility to assign
OfferDoes this purchase qualify?Merchant promotion explanation
DecisionWhat is the outcome?Eligibility communication
AccessWhere are the instructions?Recipient delivery and access support
UseWhat conditions apply to this card?Responsible card materials and support
Order changeDoes this affect my benefit?Merchant and applicable program coordination
02

Design for a customer arriving out of sequence

A Shopify recipient may first notice the benefit after receiving a later message or contacting support. The explanation should identify the store and offer rather than assuming the customer remembers every promotional detail.

03

Keep access practical

Readable instructions, meaningful link labels, and a visible support destination help on mobile as well as desktop. Do not require the customer to infer a next action from an illustration or send sensitive card data through ordinary email.
